Black Fever (Черная Лихорадка) is a book, published in 2015, about illegal coal mining in Ukraine.[1][2][3] The book was written by Denys Kazansky.

The illegal coal mininug Kazansky describes started to be a problem following the break-up of the Soviet Union, and, in particular, during the presidency of Leonid Kuchma.[2][3] According to Kazansky, illegal coal mining was one side of political corruption, and gangster culture.
