Appearance

Brecon is a town in Wales. It used to be known as Brecknock. It gave its name to the county of Brecknockshire, but since 1974 it has been part of Powys.
In Welsh it is called Aberhonddu, named for its location where the River Honddu meets the River Usk.
Brecon is the third largest town in Powys, behind Newtown and Ystradgynlais. In 2011 it had a population of 8,250.
The area has lots of history.[1]
