Darowen is a village and former parish in Powys, Wales. It was in the historic county of Montgomeryshire[1] and comprised the townships of Caerseddfan and Noddfa.[2]
Darowen is to the east of Machynlleth, in the hills south of the Dyfi Valley. The church is dedicated to St Tudyr and was completely rebuilt in 1864. Just to the north there is a holy well named Ffynnon Dadur.[3] Today the village and the northern half of the parish are part of the community of Glantwymyn,[4] while the southern areas of Abergwydol and Melinbyrhedyn are now part of Cadfarch.
