From Encyc

Glantwymyn / Cemmaes Road is a village in Powys, Wales, located on the River Twymyn.

The village has a primary school Ysgol Glantwymyn, a post office, and in the past it had 2 chapels.[1]

The English name is from the closed Cemmes Road railway station.

The Welsh name Glantwymyn means "the Twymyn riverside". It is also used by a community, which covers the villages of Abercegir, Cemmaes, Cemmaes Road, Ceinws, Cwmlline, Darowen, Llanwrin, and Talywern.[2]

Glantwymyn community was created in 1987.[3] Its area includes the former parishes of Llanwrin and Caereinion Fechan, most of Cemmaes, and the northern half of Darowen.

The village is set to host the 2027 National Eisteddfod.[4]
