Hirnant
Appearance
Hirnant is a small village and former parish in the far north of Powys, Wales. It was in the historic county of Montgomeryshire.[1]
The name Hyrnant is first recorded in 1254, and as Hirnant it first appears in 1377. The church is dedicated to St Illog. It was mostly rebuilt from 1886 to 1892. The church was made redundant, but after local efforts it became active again in 1999.[2]
