Llanbrynmair

From Encyc

Llanbrynmair (also spelt Llanbryn-mair) is a village and former parish in Powys, Wales. It was in the historic county of Montgomeryshire.[1] The village is located on the A470 road between Caersws and Machynlleth.

The parish (and modern community council area) extends far beyond just the village. It also includes Bont-Dolgadfan, Llan, Tafolwern, Pandy-rhiw-Saeson, Pennant, Talerddig, and Dolfach. The abandoned village of Dylife is also in the community. The original centre of the parish was at Llan, with the current village known as Wynnstay, but this changed during the 19th century due to increasing transport links.
