Vale of Grwyney

From Encyc

The Vale of Grwyney is the most south-easterly community in Powys, Wales. It was created in 1986.[1] In 2011 it had a population of 738.

The community includes the villages of Glangrwyney, Llangenny and Llanbedr Ystrad Yw.

The name comes from two rivers - Grwyne Fawr and Grwyne Fechan - which run through the community. The two rivers join each other near Llanbedr Ystrad Yw, and join the River Usk just south of Glangrwyney.
