Heyope
Appearance

Heyope or Heyop is a small village in Powys, Wales, near the border with England. Historically it was a parish in Radnorshire.
It was a small parish, the only village of note in the area is Knucklas. At the western border is a small village called Dolyfelin, which was also partially in Llangunllo parish.[1][2]
The name was first recorded as Llandewy in Heyop in 1389. This form still lives on in the Welsh name Llanddewi yn Heiob, but in English it came to be shortened as Heyope by 1399.[3]
St David's Church was first built in the 15th century. The font and screen still remain from the earlier structure, after the church was rebuilt in 1880-2.[3]
