Nantyffyllon
Appearance

Nantyffyllon is a village in just north of Maesteg in south Wales. It is located where a small stream named Nant y Ffyllon joins the River Llynfi. It is part of Bridgend county borough.
It was originally called Nantffyrling ("the farthing stream"). The farthing was the lowest value and smallest coin in Britain, so this name refers to the stream's small size. The name later corrupted to Nantyffyllon c1870.[1]
Nantyffyllon has a primary school[2] and a rugby team.[3]
Historically it was part of the parish of Llangynwyd.[4] Today it is part of the community of Maesteg.
