Yscir
Yscir (also spelt Ysgir) is a community west of Brecon, in Powys, Wales. The community was created in 1986.[1]
It includes the hamlets of Aberyscir, Battle, Cradoc, and Fennifach, as well as parts of Aberbran and Pontfaen.[2]
In 2017 the Yscir ward to Powys County Council was the only ward in all of Wales that had no candidates for the local election.[3] The ward also included Merthyr Cynog and Trallong. Since 2022 it has been named Yscir with Honddu Isaf and Llanddew, after the addition of the communities of Honddu Isaf and Llanddew.
